Her mother, Mary Ann Cannon, was one of Younity’s founders and signed the original certificate of incorporation. “Younity has been a part of my life for almost as long as I can remember, making its mission near and dear to my heart,” she says. “I am excited to help provide leadership as the organization moves into the next phases of its growth and evolution.” Professionally, Meaghan is a Regional Director for FirstService Residential and has held leadership and management roles in hospitality and human resources.

Malina likes adventure and a good challenge. She loves to ski and practice yoga, and delights in the company of interesting people. A few years ago, Malina learned to sail. She is working toward achieving her childhood dream to circumnavigate the world.
Ektaa Shah
Treasurer
Ektaa Shah, Treasurer of Younity’s Board, is a CPA with more than a decade of experience in tax and accounting. She was moved to join the Board after hearing about the organization’s impact and believes that domestic violence and sexual assault affect all cultures and communities in different ways, but as she says, “when you see it, you know.” Every year on her birthday, Ektaa heads to a new national park — a tradition that’s turned into a joyful quest to celebrate life surrounded by mountains, canyons, and wide-open skies, because birthday cake always tastes better in the great outdoors.
Sonal V. Shah
Secretary
Sonal’s path to Younity blends global business leadership, education, and a lifelong commitment to service. She began her career as a Senior Vice President at Deutsche Bank, where she focused on global strategic planning and built data management and reporting systems that shaped the bank’s financial infrastructure. After 15 years and raising three children, she shifted gears to follow her passion for education, becoming a certified Montessori teacher in West Windsor. There, she created and launched a school-wide early reading program that was later adopted by partner schools.
Coming from a long family history of charitable giving, Sonal believes deeply in creating opportunity and support for those in need. That belief guided her to Younity, where she combines her background in corporate strategy with her experience creating educational programs, helping to strengthen systems of support and open new pathways for victim-survivors.
Beyond her professional and volunteer commitments, Sonal finds balance in playing tennis, practicing meditation, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Professionally, Joan is President of Payment Management and brings decades of experience helping businesses navigate the evolving payments industry. She also loves supporting the arts locally and delights in discovering the artist and the story behind each piece she brings into her home or wears — jewelry, textiles, and works of art that capture her love of creativity and storytelling.

He is a teacher at heart, dedicated to helping students grow and develop brighter futures. Bill was drawn to Younity by its inspiring mission and sees his service as a way to extend the same commitment — helping people find opportunities, dignity, and hope as they move forward in their lives. “I am eager to apply this focus to helping Younity provide similar opportunities within the broader community,” he says. Outside the classroom, Bill finds joy in getting lost in a good book or tracing the stories of his family’s past.
Tushar Garimella, Ph.D.
Tushar Garimella, Ph.D., brings 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics to improve patient outcomes. At the same time, I want to help improve the functioning of the organization in any way I can.”
Sherri Goldberg

Natasha Johnson
Natasha has more than 15 years of experience leading healthcare programs with organizations including Penn Medicine Princeton Health, MedStar Health, and New York-Presbyterian. She is currently Director of Partner Operations at Evolent Health, where she oversees value-based initiatives that improve outcomes and strengthen community health systems. She holds graduate degrees from New York University and Georgetown University, and a bachelor’s degree from The College of New Jersey.
Her commitment to children and families began earlier in her career, when she led the first volunteers of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Union County. There, she worked alongside social service agencies and family courts to ensure that abused and neglected children awaiting adoption had safe, stable homes. That early calling to stand with vulnerable children continues to guide her perspective today, aligning closely with Younity’s mission.
Rose “Dede” Nini
Rose “Dede” Nini is the former Dean of Continuing Education at Mercer County Community College. Throughout her 26-year career at Mercer, she wore many hats including Executive Director the MCCC Foundation, Dean of the James Kerney Campus and Manager of the Conference Center. Following her retirement, Dede established SageWorks Consulting, a management consulting firm. One of things that she has enjoyed most about her positions was the opportunity to mentor many young students and colleagues.
Raised in a family that valued helping others, she has long supported Younity and its mission. A friend of several of the organization’s Founders, she considers it a privilege to continue their legacy by ensuring victim-survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault receive the broadest possible range of critical services and leave Younity’s care feeling fully empowered to care for themselves and their family.
Dede is actively involved in a number of nonprofits and, in her spare time, is learning Italian, practicing yoga and Pilates, and finding joy in new adventures. She is also working on a cookbook for her grandchildren and friends.
Dr. Maritoni (Candy) Shah
Dr. Shah has spent her career weaving wellness into everyday life. Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, she has cared for children and families as a practicing physician and guided young doctors as teaching faculty.
Today, she serves as Director of Wellness Services at Princeton Day School, where she created the school’s first comprehensive health and wellness program. For Candy, wellness isn’t just about the classroom or the clinic — it’s about building systems of care that help people feel safe, supported, and able to thrive. That vision connects deeply with Younity’s mission to strengthen services and create new paths forward for victim-survivors. She lives in Princeton with her husband, Paul, and their two children, and values family, community, and the practices that allow people to grow strong and confident in themselves.

Tommi A. Vincent
Tommi A. Vincent is a thought leader, chef, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and writer dedicated to empowering individuals and driving the movement to end domestic violence. She is deeply committed to helping survivors move from surviving to thriving and to erasing the stigma that keeps individuals and families from accessing the resources they need to heal. Tommi also serves on the Board of the National Domestic Violence Hotline and created Brunch and a Life-Saving Conversation, a national fundraiser to support their work. Guided by her personal mission to normalize the conversation, not the behavior, she brings courage and compassion to everything she does — from the kitchen to the podcast mic on Stay A While, where food becomes a love language and comfort food for the soul.
Fran Zeitler Edelman
Fran’s path to Younity began in the classroom, where she taught first grade for five years before raising her two children. After stepping away from teaching, she launched and ran a telephone answering service for 25 years before selling the business and retiring.
Her connection to Younity began at a fundraiser, where she instantly knew it was the organization she wanted to support. She reached out to Susan Adams, then Volunteer Coordinator, about helping in the office, and soon after was invited to join the board. More than 30 years later, she continues to dedicate her time, care, and resources to the mission. Family is central to Fran’s life. Since marrying her husband Fred seven years ago, she has been blessed with a large, loving family that now includes five children, 20 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. With love came more love—a truth she carries into every part of her life and service.
