Domestic Violence Liaison to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P)
Salary: $60,000 – $62,000
Hours: 35 hours per week
The Domestic Violence Specialist serves as Younity’s liaison to the Mercer County Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), providing specialized domestic violence expertise to support families experiencing the co-occurrence of domestic violence and child abuse.
Working collaboratively with DCP&P staff, the Domestic Violence Specialist conducts assessments, assists with safety planning, provides advocacy and referrals, facilitates domestic violence education, and offers consultation and training to child welfare professionals. This position promotes coordinated, trauma-informed responses that enhance the safety and well-being of survivors and their children while strengthening community partnerships.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Partner with DCP&P caseworkers to conduct domestic violence assessments and identify safety concerns.
- Develop individualized safety plans for survivors and their children.
- Provide advocacy, referrals, and connections to community resources that promote safety and long-term stability.
- Participate in office and home visits with DCP&P staff, as appropriate.
- Facilitate the Safe Mothers Curriculum and other domestic violence education for DCP&P-referred clients.
- Provide consultation, education, and training to DCP&P staff regarding the intersection of domestic violence and child abuse.
- Collaborate with community partners, service providers, and legal systems to coordinate support for families.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and activity records in accordance with agency and DCP&P requirements.
Required Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field (required).
- Strong knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and experience working with survivors.
- Familiarity with child welfare systems and community resources; experience working in Mercer County preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stress environments and manage complex cases with attention to detail and timelines.
- Proficient computer and data analysis skills with the ability to learn new software.

Bilingual Counselor Advocate
Salary: $60,000-$62,000/annually depending on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week
The Bilingual Counselor Advocate provides individual and group counseling, advocacy, case management, referrals, and court accompaniment, as needed, to victim-survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence and their family members. Services are provided to all clients. The role also supports community education and outreach as needed.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provides individual and group counseling to victim survivors of DV/SV and their families in Spanish and English.
- Maintains a caseload of 25-27 clients.
- Provides advocacy for clients at court, welfare, and with other community agencies.
- Provides systems advocacy to identify community-based support for victim/survivors and their families.
- Provides education, information, referrals, and education to clients, other professionals, and to the general public.
- Completes and maintains agency forms and documentation.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Required Education & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or Bachelor’s with 4 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of community resources including the legal system in Mercer County.
- Public speaking.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Must be fluent in Spanish.
- Exceptional communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stress environments and manage complex cases with attention to detail and timelines.
- Proficient computer and data analysis skills with the ability to learn new software.
- Completion of 60-hour domestic violence and sexual violence training or certification of completion from another agency.
- Valid driver’s license.

Youth Counselor Advocate
Salary: $60,000/annually, depending on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week – this role requires afternoon and evening hours at least 3 days a week
The Youth Counselor Advocate provides trauma-informed counseling, advocacy, case management, and therapeutic programming for children and adolescents impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and other forms of interpersonal trauma. Working collaboratively with non-offending caregivers and multidisciplinary staff, this position conducts assessments, develops service plans, facilitates individual and group interventions, and supports children’s emotional safety and healing.
This role also partners across the agency to strengthen child-focused services, contributes to prevention initiatives, and provides education to staff and community partners.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Conduct trauma-informed assessments to identify children’s emotional, behavioral, developmental, and safety needs.
- Provide individual counseling, family support, advocacy, and case management to children and their non-offending caregivers.
- Assist families in accessing community resources and referrals that support safety, stability, and well-being.
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate age-appropriate therapeutic groups for children and adolescents.
- Coordinate services for children receiving support across Clinical Services and Safe House programs.
- Collaborate with advocates, therapists, shelter staff, and community partners to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Complete assessments, case notes, service plans, referrals, and all required documentation accurately and within agency timelines.
- Maintain confidential client records in accordance with agency policy, HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and applicable state regulations.
- Collect program outcome data and assist with grant reporting requirements as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
