After decades working to support victims to remove stigma and to place the blame squarely where it belongs…at the feet of the perpetrator, we have witnessed the pendulum swinging backward for victims and survivors of sexual assault. High profile court cases and political discourse have been fraught with degradation, sexual innuendo, hateful speech, cyber bullying and victim blaming.
Nothing is more powerful to a trauma victim than to be heard and believed without judgment. Womanspace is here to listen, advocate, counsel, support, feed, hold and shelter survivors 24/7; 365 days a year but we need your help to continue serving over 10,800 women, men, and children each year.
