About Younity

(Formerly Womanspace)

Younity, formerly known as Womanspace, is a nonprofit organization based in Mercer County, New Jersey, offering a comprehensive array of services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. With nearly 50 years of service, Younity is committed to improving the quality of life for victim-survivors of abuse through crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy, housing services, education, and outreach.

Domestic violence and sexual assault are human and social issues, not limited to women or families. We work to empower victim-survivors of all backgrounds to reclaim their lives and well-being. Our programs are designed to serve a broader audience, including men, LGBTQ+ individuals, and underserved communities.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity

Younity is committed to cultural competency and actively recognizes the ethnic, racial, religious, gender, and sexual orientation diversity within our communities. We strive to provide services that are accessible and inclusive, offering a space where every individual feels respected and supported. Our programs reflect this diversity, and we engage in continuous learning and growth to meet the evolving needs of those we serve.

Collaborating for Change

Fighting domestic violence and sexual assault requires collaboration, as it takes a community effort to address the complexities of abuse and provide comprehensive support for those affected. We partner with organizations such as the New Jersey Coalition to End Domestic Violence and the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault, working alongside other nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations to build a comprehensive, community-wide response to violence and abuse.

As we continue to evolve, our mission is driven by our belief that together, we are stronger than abuse. This reflects our expanded vision, where we not only support those in crisis but also work to prevent violence, provide education, and build a safer, healthier future for all. Younity is supported by a combination of public and private funds, including contributions from the State of New Jersey, Mercer County, individuals, organizations, foundations, and corporations.
