Transitional Housing: A Path to Independence
Younity’s Transitional Housing program provides longer-term residential options for victim-survivors of domestic violence and their children as they work toward rebuilding their lives. This program offers more than just a place to stay—it fosters independence and self-sufficiency through comprehensive support services. Victim-survivors are often referred to this program from our Safe House or Counseling and Support Services, ensuring continuity of care and a path toward lasting stability.
Comprehensive Support Services
Our transitional housing program addresses a wide range of needs that are critical for a successful transition to independent living. These include:
- Emotional Support: Ongoing counseling services to help residents process their experiences and continue their journey of healing.
- Financial Stability: Guidance on managing finances, budgeting, and building economic independence.
- Legal Assistance: Support resolving legal concerns, such as custody arrangements or protective orders.
- Child Care and Education: Access to childcare options and resources to support educational goals or job-readiness skills, helping clients prepare for long-term success.
Wraparound Services
Rebuilding a life after domestic violence requires more than just time—it requires a network of support and access to resources. Our program provides wraparound services that connect residents with the community resources they need to develop both self-sufficiency and a strong support network.
Flexible Length of Stay
The duration of stay in Transitional Housing can vary based on individual needs, ranging from six months to two years. This flexibility allows residents the time they need to achieve their personal goals and prepare for a successful transition to independent living.
