About Us
Mission, Vision & Values
Our Mission
Our mission is to prevent abuse, protect families, and change lives through empowerment and a safety net of supportive services.
Core Values
Clients First
We come to work every day to serve our clients. We work to understand, validate, and support our clients to heal from their traumas and become empowered with knowledge and information. To that end, our organizational policies, decisions, strategies, goals, and actions are all informed and driven by our clients’ needs. Internal and organizational policies are client-centered.
Excellence
Excellence is the goal of every team member. We commit to creating and delivering the highest level of quality programs and services. We are inquisitive, so we can continuously improve how we do our work. We vigorously commit to learning and developing our staff to best meet the needs of our clients.
Integrity
Integrity is the foundation for all our work. We are ethical and transparent in all we say and do. We do the right thing on behalf of our clients. Our mission, culture, and core values align so that our clients trust us, and we trust each other.
Collaboration
We do our best work through collaboration and teamwork. We support one another and help our teammates when they need our time and talent. We cultivate partnerships with other organizations to foster a coordinated community response to violence and abuse. Our default way of working is with others, not alone.
Belonging
We commit to being a space where clients and every team member is welcomed, respected, valued, and supported. We strive to foster belonging in our workplace and community.
Commitment to Anti-Racism
Younity condemns racism and recognizes the profound impact that historic, deeply rooted, and systemic inequities have on survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as on our workforce and the communities we serve. We are committed to being an anti-racist organization, taking bold actions to create real, lasting change.
Our Pledge to Change:
- Enacting anti-racist policies that foster inclusive ideas, attitudes, and behaviors.
- Ensuring survivors have a vital voice in organizational change.
- Committing to a staff that reflects the client demographics.
- Building trust within communities of color by understanding their service needs.
- Driving education and training with anti-racism principles.
- Providing training and support to systems that work with marginalized survivors—justice, housing, and welfare.
