22nd Annual Communities of Light on December 3rd and 4th
Join with us in early December when thousands of flickering lights will line the streets for the 22nd Annual Communities of Light, sending a powerful message of support and solidarity to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Mercer County.
The community-wide lightings on December 3rd, in homes and neighborhoods, and on December 4th, at businesses and municipal buildings, will be the culmination of a month of awareness raising and action to bring domestic violence and sexual assault out of the darkness and into the light. Throughout November, Communities of Light Luminary Kits – each including 6 votive candles and white paper bags – will be on sale for $10 at the retailers listed below, at our Administrative office at 1530 Brunswick Avenue, Lawrenceville, and online here.
There is a role for everyone to play!
- Illuminate your home and let your community know that you stand with victim-survivors.
- Coordinate with your neighbors or place of business to amplify that message of support and hope.
- Donate to ensure that no one will ever be turned away when they need the services that Womanspace offers.
