Lighting the Way Together

Hope, Healing, and Unity in Every Township in Mercer County

Across Mercer County, neighbors are coming together to shine a light of hope, healing, and solidarity through Communities of Light. Each local lighting event is part of a powerful county-wide tradition that honors victim-survivors of domestic and sexual violence and reminds us that no one stands alone.

Our featured gathering will take place at Palmer Square in Princeton on Monday, October 27, at 6:45 PM, where the community will come together for an evening of light, reflection, and connection. The Princeton Girlchoir of Westrick Music Academy will fill the square with songs of hope and unity, while Princeton University’s SHARE Peers will share words of insight and support. Younity representatives will also offer brief remarks on building safer, more compassionate communities.

Each luminary lit at Palmer Square and beyond carries the same message: We see you. We believe you. You are not alone.

Please follow this page for updates on additional township lightings taking place throughout Mercer County as we close out Domestic Violence Awareness Month together.
