Court Advocacy
Court Advocacy
Navigating the legal system can be overwhelming, especially for those who have experienced domestic or sexual violence. At Younity, we offer court advocacy services for all victims of abuse. Our Court Advocates provide essential support, offering practical guidance and emotional reassurance throughout the court process. They are well-versed in legal complexities and committed to standing by victim-survivors, ensuring they feel supported and informed as they pursue justice and safety. Through compassionate assistance, we help make the court process more approachable and less daunting.
Family Court
Our Family Court Advocacy program assists over 1,000 victim-survivors annually at Mercer County Family Court. Our trained Court Advocates guide individuals through the restraining order process—providing information, support, and resources to help them feel secure and informed.
Municipal Court
Our Municipal Court Volunteer Advocates provide support to victim-survivors involved in domestic violence cases in Hamilton, and Lawrence Township Municipal Courts. Advocates explain to victim-survivors their rights and options, offer safety planning, and provide emotional support throughout the legal process.
Language Accessibility
Approximately 22% of our clients speak a language other than English, and we are committed to ensuring that language is never a barrier to receiving the help and support they need. We have bilingual advocates who speak English and Spanish. For other languages, we offer interpreters or utilize language services, covering languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Haitian Creole, French, Korean, Polish, and Russian.
