Empowering Change Through Education & Outreach
At Younity, we believe that knowledge fuels change, and educating our community is the most effective way to prevent domestic violence and sexual assault before they occur. Peer Educator Program
Our Peer Educator Program enlists young adults to become advocates for healthy relationships, consent, and bystander intervention within their peer groups. These peer educators undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to lead discussions, share resources, and provide support to their classmates and communities.
By empowering young adults to educate their peers, we create a ripple effect, fostering a culture where respect, understanding, and intervention become the norm. The program not only raises awareness but also equips students with practical tools to recognize and address issues of abuse and violence. Through their involvement, peer educators serve as role models, promoting positive behaviors and helping to build safer, more informed communities.

Community Outreach:
At YOUNITY, we are committed to connecting with our community directly. Our
Community Outreach efforts focus on:
- Engaging at Local Events: You’ll often find us at community events where we set up a table staffed by representatives. Here, we provide information about our services, educational materials, and support resources for anyone in need.
- Collaborating with Local Non-Profits: We prioritize collaboration with like-minded organizations to ensure that victim-survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault receive the comprehensive support they need. Many local nonprofits refer clients to us when they identify individuals who may be experiencing abuse, allowing us to offer specialized services tailored to their situation. We also work closely with our community partners to address the unique needs of victim-survivors.
Our key partnerships include:
- Rescue Mission
- The Father Center
- HomeFront
- Rise
- Isles, Inc.
- LALDEF (Latin American Legal Defense and Education Fund)
These partnerships allow us to provide a coordinated response, expanding our reach and ensuring that victim-survivors have access to a wide range of services, from financial literacy to housing and emotional support.
